Eyeliner

The accent this season is on the eyes. Use a kohl pencil to accentuate them. Kohl pencils are in more and more colors available. Or go for a nice eyeliner.

Tip: Keep your eyes open, look down and draw a line. After practicing a few times, you draw that line straighter than ever.

Beautytrends (part 1)

Green

Green is the colour for your eyes. You can use the colours: jade to mint green.

But watch out: not all shades of green will match with everybody. When you have got blue eyes, take jade. Do you have green eyes, lucky you! But don’t use exactly the same colours as your eyes have because your eye-colour will disappear in the make-up.

Tip to combine: use contrast colours in your clothes.

Bordeaux red

One of the fall winter colours this year is the lipstick red. You have to find your one way to combine it in your outfits. I’ve made some inspiring looks for you. I hope you like them. A tip is do NOT GO TOTALLY IN RED, just combine the red in details. Of course you can were a red dress or jeans, but be careful that you don’t going to look like a strawberry. It is also a very lovely Christmas colour, so wear the lipstick red this Christmas.

Three way's to style your red jeans

I think red is one of the most popular colours when it comes to bright coloured denim.

The casual red jean look

This outfit is a little more smart and features. A black blazer, a loose white tee, black ankle boots, a coral ring and red stacked bracelets. All from Topshop so it’s definitely more affordable range. I think black, white and red are great colours to combine together because they are all bold and they contrast each other nicely. Each piece will stand out on its own, but the outfit will tie together nicely in my opinion. This is my favourite outfit and I think because I realy like the shoes, and assiccoires that make thet outfit complete.

The easy red jeans look

This outfit consists of a Topshop cream slubby sweater, Sam Edelman boots, the tote and rings are from Debenhams and the chain necklace is by Dorothy Perkins. I think creams and neutrals work really well with bright coloured jeans because you can keep them the focal point. I think you can pretty much match these accessories and clothes with any coloured jeans. (except white because of the sweater) This is perfect for Fall/Autumn, I love the casual feel that is has.

The last outfit is a more girly ensemble. Again I chose nude and creams because they make the jeans the focal point but I added some extra colour with the scarf. The heels are by Jimmy Choo, the jacket is from Debenhams, the scarf is by Mod Cloth and the bow ring is by ASOS. The waterfall blazer is also a nice change to the classic straight cut blazer, I find that is tis more feminine.

two tone oxford trend

I was recently on the attic, when I was looking for something. Then I found a pair of shoes there. I bought these a few years back. they were from an old lady, but they were too small for her so she had never worn them. When I bought them, two tone shoes weren’t yet fashionable.

A little history from the oxford shoe

Oxfords first appeared in Scotland and Ireland, where they are occasionally called Balmorals after the Queen's castle in Scotland, Balmoral. Most shoe stores will refer to Oxfords as bal-type opposed to blucher-type. In France, Oxfords are better known under the name of Richelieu.

Oxfords are traditionally constructed of leather and were historically plain, formal shoes but are now available in a range of styles and materials that complement both casual and formal forms of dress.

The do's and don'ts for the oxford style

Here are four rules I set for you:

1. Putting flat lace-up with a wide-leg trouser or jean is a very dated way to wear them. Instead, try a cropped pant.  
2. Men should wear them with suits, and women should wear them with feminine pieces.
3. Don’t match the colours of your shoe to your outfit, This is playful and unexpected.
4. And the last tip: avoid socks

Some inspirational two tone shoes

I made this collage from different types of the two tone shoe. When I was looking for some more pictures on the internet, if found some special versions of the Oxford. I found also many pictures from Vans, first I thought “what does Vans connect to the two tone shoe?” And then I realised again that some Vans have two colours. I found that very funny because the oxford shoe is originally classic, and Vans are everything except classic. today at school I also noticed that All Stars look like the two tone from Chanel, so the old classics like the Oxford en two tone from Chanel will never get old fashioned.
